April is Occupational Therapy month!
The American Occupational Therapy Association has declared the month of April as Occupational Therapy Month! We want to recognize and thank our Occupational Therapists, Dr. Cindy Loar, OTR/L, and Sebastian Crawford, COTA/L., for all of their work at Williston Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
What is Occupational Therapy?
Our Williston, South Carolina occupational therapy services help individuals of all ages do the things they need and want to do in their daily activities. Practitioners of Occupational Therapy assist individuals in living life to its fullest by preventing or living better with an injury, illness, or disability and promoting health.
At Williston Healthcare & Rehabilitation, our occupational therapy incorporates a holistic approach, where the focus is on adapting the environment and/or task to meet the individual’s needs. The individual is a vital part of the therapy team, meaning that their success is determined by how much effort they put in. Occupational therapy is an evidence-based practice that is deeply rooted in science.
