100% Deficiency Free DHEC Survey

Deficiency-Free Survey! Now a 4 Star Facility!

We are excited to announce that our skilled nursing home has scored a 100% deficiency-free rating on our state survey conducted by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC)!

The survey conducted by the DHEC extensively measures Long Term Care Facilities in South Carolina for their compliance in resident health and wellbeing, dining/food preparation, facility environmental practices, and overall quality of life of the resident. Surveyors arrive unannounced and spend consecutive days examining the facility to ensure that the facility complies with the rigorous standards set by the DHEC.

“It takes dedication, determination, and much hard work to achieve a Deficiency Free rating!”
– Brenda Ridenour, Executive Director

The staff at Williston Healthcare & Rehabilitation were ecstatic to learn about the results of the State Survey. One new associate at the facility recollects discovering the importance of proper filing, documentation, and great teamwork during the survey audit.

“Going through my first survey at Williston Healthcare, I realized how important it is when everyone from housekeeping all the way up to the nursing staff works together and the impact it can have on our residents”.
- Tabitha Robinson, Human Resources Director.

In addition to receiving a 100% Deficiency Free Survey, we have worked hard to earn a 4 Star Rating on Medicare.Gov; a government-based site where patients and families can compare skilled nursing facilities and hospitals, doctors, and more. According to Medicare.Gov, a 4-star rating is considered to be an above-average facility rating.

“The Williston Healthcare and Rehab team is one of those groups of people committed to providing the care our Residents Deserve. Our next goal is to be a five-star facility, and with the grit and determination that makes us who and what we are, I don’t expect that this goal will be long in arriving!”
– Brenda Ridenour, Executive Director
