Concerning COVID-19

Attention Williston Healthcare and Rehab family, friends and vendors:

We hope you and yours are faring well and staying safe during the current Coronavirus outbreak. At this time we wanted to share some information with you.

Update 3/31: While we are aware that the Covid-19 cases are coming closer to home, we want to assure everyone that we are safe and well here. We are following all of the guidelines that have been recommended to date, have plenty of food and supplies and our only need is to see all of our family and friends again! The residents are busy with doorway bingo, quarantine karaoke, and various other uniquely named socially distant activities. We still encourage everyone, to have window visits with your loved ones. And don’t forget we are using Face Time too. Please feel free to contact the facility with any questions you may have.

Update 3/23: We continue to fare well keep our residents happy and occupied. I wanted to take a minute to thank all of our dedicated staff that continue to come a day in and day out no matter what is happening in their own lives. Of course, we love and appreciate our nurses and CNA’s, but right now I want to give a giant Williston Healthcare hug and shoutout to the folks that we don’t often recognize. Along with our nursing staff, we have a team of housekeepers, dietary employees, maintenance workers, laundry workers, activities, social services, and necessary office staff! They come every day and support the facility in ways that we could not have imagined two weeks ago. Along with our nursing staff, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation!

Update 3/19: All is well in our part of the world. We are keeping our residents occupied with creative activities such as doorway bingo and a traveling birthday party.

We are encouraging our family members to participate in “Window Visits” when they can. Just remember that we can not open the windows. This is making many of our folks very happy. Call ahead and speak to a staff member so that we can have your loved one ready.

UPDATE 3/17: While we are still not allowing visitors, we wanted to let everyone know that we are fine and all is well! We had doorway bingo yesterday and everyone had a great time. To celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day, the residents asked to have green pancakes this afternoon and we can certainly make that happen. As a reminder, we have a portable phone if you would like to contact your loved one. The number is 803-266-8612. We are experiencing higher than normal call volumes so please be patient when calling either the portable phone or the main phone lines.
